Preserving nature is at our core. First time visitors and regular patrons alike often refer to Los Patios as “an oasis in the heart of the city”. And indeed it is. Situated on twenty acres and bounded by Salado Creek the full length of our property, Los Patios offers something unexpected in this well developed part of the City. With a few thousand trees and a healthy variety of other plant and animal life, we offer visitors an opportunity to get close to nature without having to travel away from the City.
For some, taking in nature here can be simply enjoying one of the many lush green views, for others, a walk along the grounds offers a more leisurely way to spend some time letting nature have her way. Whatever your visit holds in store, feel free to ask us for a copy of the Paseo Salado guide. It offers a listing of the more prolific species of flora and fauna making the banks of Salado Creek our home.

INTERMEZZO GALLERY represents the work of over 50 artists from San Antonio, the Texas hill country, and from around the US. We hold an exclusive representation of the work of Dusty Pendleton. We are pleased to represent other artists such Bill Nichols, Pauly Tamez, Nan Henke, Deb Mason, and Chalda Maloff, as well as potters Rob Grimes, Paul Hughes, and Annie Hanks Ceramics and handblown glass artists Caliente Hot Glass. We are also pleased to represent jewelry artists Rex Foster, Kerrin Falk, and Segundo Milagro. In addition, we represent several artists from Ethiopia.
We also bring to you a collection of clothing, gifts, travel accessories, and home decor made by fair trade artisans from around the world. We are committed to participating in expanding the choices of handmade items and fair trade products for home, office, and travel. Our collection brings art into your everyday life – wearable art and functional art can become your trademarks.
Many of our products support various nonprofits in the US as well as Linking Lives, a 501(c)(3) which advances medical and social services in Ethiopia. (Read more about this on our website.)

Mustard Seed Designs is a creative partnership of artists Patsy and Edwin Sasek.
Their gallery supports and shows work from many local and regional artists as well as internationally known artists, including E. Gordon West, Michelle Belto, Lyn Belisle, Janis Joplin, Susan Shaw, and Santa Lucia Art. You’ll find artworks in many media including watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, oil, encaustic, photography, fiber arts, wearable art, pottery, glass, and sculpture.
Patsy and Edwin also offer classes in Plein Air Painting, Collage, Contemplative Photography, Visual Journaling, Mandalas and Mindfulness, and more.
They feature locally sourced gifts, jewelry, original cards, fashion, skin care products, hand-dipped chocolates, and special cookies. Freshly roasted and brewed coffee from around the world is available at Las Almas.
